Janaina Pinto
Janaina Pinto a Member of the Brazilian Bar who joined Harding Mitchell on 17th March 2020.
She studied financial regulations at Queen Mary University of London where she received her postgraduate degree (MA) in law.
She was admitted to the Bar Association in Brazil in 2000, when she joined Ferreira e Chagas Advogados in the city of Belo Horizonte. She practised civil law in the State of Minas Gerais representing insurance companies and car rental companies. In 2002 she worked for CETEC, a research centre, advising on intellectual property law issues. In 2003 she moved to Curitiba where she worked as a legal auditor for COPEL.
She joined Caio Brandão Advogados in 2004 and worked primarily in procurement, but also with civil and commercial litigation. When she came to the UK in 2008, she has worked alongside businesses helping them grow and prosper. She aims to keep developing her career towards business matters and immigration, having been successful with student visa, post-study work visa, unmarried partner visa, indefinite leave to remain, and UK settlement. She naturalised British in 2015.
Janaina is a very committed professional who loves to study law. She hopes to do a PhD in law in future. She can communicate in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
